Building Robots That Solve Real Problems

At the heart of our FTC team’s work is the challenge of building robots that perform specific tasks efficiently and reliably. Each season presents a new game with unique objectives, requiring fresh strategies and designs. Our team approaches this challenge by focusing on:

  • Clear goal setting: Understanding the game rules and scoring system to prioritize robot functions.
  • Iterative design: Creating prototypes, testing them, and refining based on performance.
  • Collaborative problem-solving: Combining ideas from all team members to improve robot features.

For example, in a recent season, the team developed a robot with a modular arm system. This design allowed quick adjustments to handle different game elements, such as picking up objects of varying sizes and shapes. The modular approach saved time during matches and increased the robot’s versatility.
